About VFXLens
VFXLens is an independent directory of AI tools for VFX, 3D and video post. We focus on what working artists need to know: what a tool does on real footage, what it costs, whether it's safe for client work, and how it fits a pipeline.
How listings work
- Facts come from the vendor's own website, documentation and code repositories. Every tool page lists its sources and the date we last checked.
- When we can't verify something, we mark it as unknown rather than guess.
- Licenses and pricing change often. Always check the vendor's current terms before using a tool on paid work.
How testing works
- Tools are run on a fixed set of real plates with the same checks every time.
- We publish failure modes, not only best results.
- Tools we haven't tested show “Not yet tested”.
Sponsored-content policy
- Sponsored listings, placements and newsletter slots are always labeled “Sponsored”.
- Test results, scores and rankings are never for sale. Paying for a fast-track review or a sponsored slot does not change them.
- Vendors can't review or edit test results before publication. They can report factual errors, which we fix for free.
- Some outbound links may be affiliate links. They never affect what we list or how we rate it, and we'll disclose them.
